Quality flooring. Professional installation. Beautiful results.

Removal & preparation

Removal and subfloor prep. Old flooring removed, then the subfloor leveled. Vinyl shows dips and humps, so flatness matters.

Moisture evaluation. Concrete slabs and subfloors checked for moisture as the manufacturer requires before installation.

Professional installation

Click-lock LVP installation. Floating click-lock luxury vinyl plank, the most common method for homes and remodels.

Glue-down vinyl plank. Glue-down vinyl where the product and the project call for it, using the adhesive the manufacturer specifies.

SPC and WPC floors. Rigid-core SPC (stone plastic composite) and WPC (wood plastic composite) options, compared side by side at your home.

Baseboards & finishing

Stairs, baseboards and trim. Stair noses and risers, transitions, thresholds and new baseboards finished to match.

Why installation matters with vinyl plank

Luxury vinyl plank is forgiving to live with but not to install. Rigid-core planks still need a subfloor within the manufacturer's flatness tolerance, and the expansion space, transitions and acclimation rules all affect how the floor holds up.

We install every product to its manufacturer's written specifications, which is what the warranty is based on. See how we handle floor removal and subfloor preparation.

Staircase transformation

Beautiful Floors Deserve Beautiful Stairs.

We install compatible vinyl flooring on stairs and coordinate it with the floors around them, so the staircase, landings and the rooms upstairs and downstairs match.

Stairs need the right materials and a secure attachment method: matching stair noses made for the product, treads and risers that are fastened or adhered as the manufacturer specifies, and nosings that meet applicable building requirements. We look at the staircase first, fix squeaks and loose treads, and confirm the product is approved for stairs before quoting.

Water resistance

Waterproof vs. water-resistant vinyl flooring

Many luxury vinyl plank collections, especially SPC and WPC rigid-core floors, have waterproof plank construction: the plank itself does not swell or break down from surface water. That is why vinyl is our usual recommendation for kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, rentals and homes with pets.

Laminate

  • Wood-fiber core with a hard, scratch-resistant surface
  • Water resistance varies by manufacturer and collection
  • Waterproof-rated lines have tested limits and warranty conditions
  • Not meant for standing water, flooding or some full bathrooms

Luxury vinyl plank & SPC

  • Vinyl core (SPC or WPC) that does not swell from surface water
  • Many LVP and SPC planks have waterproof construction
  • The installed floor and subfloor are not floodproof
  • Usually the best fit for kitchens, laundry rooms, baths and pets

Waterproof planks do not make the room or the subfloor waterproof. Water can still get beneath the floor through seams, edges, perimeter gaps and penetrations such as pipes, and it then has to be dried. No floor is flood protection.

Claims vary by product, so we go by each manufacturer's documentation. In our catalog, Lago, Vellichor and many SLCC rigid-core lines, and most MegaClic vinyl collections, are described by their manufacturers as waterproof; check each product page for the exact wording and warranty.

Baseboards & finishing

Baseboards and premium finishing

We can replace baseboards, add shoe molding where it suits the room, and finish thresholds and transitions to tile, carpet and hardwood. New vinyl plank floors, new baseboards and a matching staircase together make the whole interior look finished.

How the visit works: we bring samples to your home, measure every room and the stairs, check the subfloor, and can quote on the spot if you want, or send a written quote afterward. The estimate is free within our service area. See how shopping at home works.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is luxury vinyl plank flooring 100% waterproof?

Many LVP and SPC planks are made of waterproof materials, so the planks will not swell from surface water. The installed floor and the subfloor are not waterproof: water can get underneath at seams, edges and gaps. Check each product's manufacturer claim and warranty.

What is the difference between SPC, WPC and laminate?

SPC has a dense stone-plastic rigid core; WPC has a wood-plastic composite core that is a bit softer underfoot. Both are vinyl and have waterproof cores. Laminate has a wood-fiber core with a hard wear surface; its water resistance varies by product.

Can luxury vinyl plank be installed on stairs?

Yes, with products approved for stairs, matching stair noses and the attachment method the manufacturer specifies.

Can vinyl flooring be installed over existing flooring?

Sometimes. Some manufacturers allow installation over a flat, sound, single layer of hard flooring. Carpet always comes out. We check at the estimate.

Do you install new baseboards?

Yes. We can replace baseboards, add shoe molding and finish all transitions with the new floor.

Can I choose matching vinyl flooring for my staircase?

Yes. We use the same product with its matching stair noses where available, so stairs and floors match.

Do you offer free in-home estimates?

Yes. We bring samples to you, measure and quote floors, stairs and baseboards.

Can I buy vinyl plank as materials only?

Yes. We sell luxury vinyl plank and SPC with installation or as materials only. If you already bought flooring, ask us about installing it; we check the material and the subfloor at the estimate.

We install in homes across Greater Los Angeles, including Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, Encino, Tarzana, Calabasas, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Northridge, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Hermosa Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, La Habra Heights.
